The Her Move Next tournament matches were designed to motivate girls of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players in an atmosphere that promotes camaraderie and mutual support. The Chess Quad-Team format allows girls a regular opportunity to be part of an exciting and larger chessgirl scholastic community. High school mentors will be onsite coaching and sharing their experiences and insights.

Coaches will organize players in Quad-Team sections seated into four all-girls teams with comparable rankings. Players will not only be competing against girls of similar ratings, but also each participant will have an opportunity to contribute to their respective chess teams, for a team award! Chess teams are a proven fun format that energizes participation and forges friendships.
