HMN SEASONS 1-2 | Coach Sakura is a 16 year old junior attending East Side Community High School. She started to play chess at the age of 9. After discovering her passion for the sport, she attended Intermediate School 318 after 5th grade. There, she went up 900 points in her three years. Her and her team won many nationals and got to travel around America. Through many wins and losses, she has grown as both a player and a person. Her current rating is 1677.

Sakura is half Puerto Rican and half Jamaican. Her favorite food is Spicy Korean Chicken. Besides playing chess, she also loves to draw, play the electric guitar, help others, play video games, and her all time favorite, read Manga and watch Anime! She also loves to babysit, as she has 3 younger sisters, age 7 and twins of 5 months. She loves to take care of children and help them learn and grow.
